A Most Famous Work of Art

What incredible beauty of expression in these faces.

About eighteen years ago an art-loving friend and I used to frequent London art galleries to see special exhibitions.  Just as enjoyable for us, if not more so, was the period of time we would allocate for 'people watching'.  We both loved people and were fascinated by human expression and behaviour whilst viewing 'works of art'.  My friend is now safe in the arms of Jesus and no longer has need for such curiosity.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for my dear friend Mo.

Please take a look at any comments.

Hi Joan! I get the feeling I upset you with one or a few of my posts. I am a bit of a clod and I can waffle on about social class a bit; I know I have a bit of an obsession about this! Anyway, I want to say firstly that I had no intention of upsetting you in any way, and am mortified that I may have done, and secondly, I am profoundly sorry if I have done!

Coming from the background I do, I suppose it's quite natural to feel certain things about the way England is; but I understand that I have no right to make someone else feel small in doing so, especially someone who is a Christian! On top of this, I really enjoy your blog a whole lot and check it every day to see what you have written or what interesting thing you have put up there. So, I am truly sorry if I have caused any offence to you, and hope we can see eye to eye!

Dear friend, I am always delighted to hear from you. In fact, you are the only person who does comment on my blog and you are always positive! I have been away on a 10 day course, during which time I have loved a lot of people and learned much. Please continue commenting, I do not have as much time as I would like to devote to my blog, in any case I endeavour to add something each day. I find your blog to be extremely interesting and I very much enjoy the fact that we can air our thoughts, in a safe and responsible way via our blogs. I should say that although I am not physically large, 'feeling small' is something that I not burdened with! God bless and please keep watching and commenting, Joan.

Joan; thank you so much for your reply! I thought I had put my big foot in my big mouth again! I will keep commenting on your wonderful blog, and I will keep watching your blog because it is original and your thoughts are interesting and enjoyable to read; I also like the fact that you present paintings and works of art on your blog too; you have good taste! Anyway, I feel better now!

By the way, I have been meaning to go on a Christian course myself one day; I hope you enjoyed it!
